On Saturday, December 11, 2021, Josh Powell, Mindful Sport & Performance, and 21 Reasons to Give hosted the 2nd Annual Black Tie Holiday Gala, “A Night with the Stars” with a tribute to women in sports and entertainment this weekend.

This annual fundraiser event was in support of the 21 Reasons to Give Foundation and The Steve Francis Foundation to continue providing pro bono services to transitional professionals, guide youth in need as well as provide a one of a kind opportunity to take twenty one youth abroad to provide culture awareness, exposure, diversity, inclusion, and community service to countries in need.

As the event kicked off, TheseUrbanTimes’ own Terrell Thomas caught up with NBA legend Steve Francis. Steve Francis shared why he is passionate about rising Mental Health Awareness, who reminds him of himself currently in the NBA, Stephen Curry’s greatness, rappers using his name in songs and more.

The interview was conducted by Terrell Thomas. The interview was shot and edited by Danny Digital.
